This Rapid Response report aims to review the clinical effectiveness of short-term psychodynamic psychotherapy (STPP) for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and substance-related and addictive disorders. Evidence-based guidelines regarding the use of STPP for the treatment of these mental illnesses will also be examined.
