No information is available on the use of baloxavir marboxil during breastfeeding. Because baloxavir is 93% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. If baloxavir is required by the mother, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding, but an alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
