The first vocal exchanges between parents and baby constitute the backdrop to the development of the infant's relationship with his or her environment. Between fusion and separation, in adolescence, these issues are reactivated when teenagers' voices deepen, leaving them searching for their identity and the proper subjective distance to maintain with the initial objects of attachment. From self to self and from self to other, overtone singing therapy constitutes an essential tool.
