Extraocular motor nuclei: location, morphology and afferents

C Evinger. Rev Oculomot Res. 1988.

Abstract

The location, morphology and afferent control of extraocular motoneurons in the oculomotor, trochlear, abducens and accessory abducens nuclei are reviewed for different vertebrates. This comparative approach includes developmental and phylogenetic aspects, as well as data on preganglionic neurons of the ciliary ganglion.
