Clin Nucl Med. 2020 May;45(5):365-367. doi: 10.1097/RLU.0000000000002826.

Abstract

In the past, many articles focused on one or several interventions to prevent physician burnout, but increasingly, articles now focus on comprehensive programs to not only decrease burnout, but also to promote physician happiness and wellness. These programs include measuring burnout and joy in the workplace, promoting workplace safety and wellness activities, career assistance, optimizing compensation, increasing the respect shown to individuals and their teams, and coordination of the goals between the individual, the teams, and the organization.
