Abstract

This study used data on mass shootings to examine the proximity of adult trauma centers, pediatric trauma centers, and non–trauma center hospitals to such events.

B, Distance from event to the closest nontrauma center (NTC), adult trauma center (ATC), and pediatric trauma center (PTC). The sizes reflect the number of individuals injured. Twenty-three pediatric trauma centers were at distances greater than 100 miles.
