Abstract

An O-antigen polysaccharide fraction (Ke-PS) was isolated from Komagataeibacter europaeus NBRC 3261. In addition to chemical analyses, its structure was characterized by 1D and 2D 1H as well as 13C NMR spectroscopy. The polysaccharide is composed of linear disaccharide repeating unit that consists of d-galactose and d-glycero-d-manno-heptose: →7)-α-d,d-Hepp-(1 → 2)-α-d-Galp-(1 → .
