Abstract

An O-antigen polysaccharide fraction (Ke-PS) was isolated from Komagataeibacter europaeus NBRC 3261. In addition to chemical analyses, its structure was characterized by 1D and 2D ¹H as well as ¹³C NMR spectroscopy. The polysaccharide is composed of linear disaccharide repeating unit that consists of d-galactose and d-glycero-d-manno-heptose: →7)-α-d,d-Hepp-(1 → 2)-α-d-Galp-(1 → .
