Abstract

Treatment goals in ulcerative colitis have shifted from clinical remission to mucosal healing, and more recently, to histological remission.¹^,² Treating patients with healed mucosae has been shown to be beneficial.³ Clinical, endoscopic, and histological findings do not necessarily correlate with each other.⁴.
