This disproportionality analysis uses the World Health Organization pharmacovigilance database to explore the potential safety signal of facial paralysis after COVID-19 vaccination.

Broad definitions of facial paralysis correspond to the following Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities (MedDRA) preferred terms (PTs): facial nerve disorder, facial paralysis, facial paresis, facial spasm, oculofacial paralysis, VIIth nerve injury; narrow definition, only to the facial paralysis PT. CrI indicates credible interval.
