Determination the effects of lavender oil quality of sleep and fatigue of students

Abstract

Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the effects of lavender oil on the quality of sleep and fatigue of students.

Design and methods: This study is an experimental study conducted with the intervention and control groups (pretest/posttest). In the intervention group, the students were treated with aromatherapy for one week.

Findings: It was found that the posttest Pittsburgh sleep quality index and checklist individual strength scores of the students in the intervention group were lower than those of the students in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant.

Implications for practice: The results show that the use of lavender oil is an effective, reliable, and accessible method to relieve insomnia and fatigue problems of students.
