Abstract

The purpose of this work was to demonstrate clinical observations of the features of the complicated course of community-based viral COVID-19 pneumonia. Patients were referred for treatment with a complicated course of pneumonia from other medical institutions, where they were treated 2-3 months ago. The most serious complications are given - the formation of bullosa pulmonary emphysema ("disappearing lung syndrome"), which can occur at different periods of the disease. In some cases, the morphological study of the postoperative material with complications in the post covid period is characterized by the absence of signs of a typical chronic inflammatory process with signs of diffuse fibrosis. Signs of productive endarteritis persist, the formation of secondary vascular malformations with the development of cysts and bullous emphysema is possible. Complications of viral lung disease associated with COVID-19 - pneumothorax, pyopneumothorax, pneumomediastinum, bullous pulmonary emphysema ("disappearing lung syndrome") require further study and development of appropriate surgical tactics.
