Abstract

Pneumatosis intestinalis (PI) is the presence of gas within the bowel wall and may result from several autoimmune diseases, including dermatomyositis (DM).¹ A 55-year-old man with antimelanoma differentiation-associated gene 5 antibody (MDA5)-associated DM and interstitial lung disease (ILD) presented with a 1-week history of swallowing difficulty.
