Dental history is abundantly imbued with personalities and events that are intertwined to form an amazing mosaic of life and its evolution to our present day. One such meaningful reflection on this evolution comes from our President, Dr. Andrew Spielman, who was one of the recipients of the Hayden-Harris Award during the 71st meeting of the American Academy of the History of Dentistry, in New York city, October 2022. As editor of this Journal, I felt it necessary to share with you his reflections that epitomize our historical richness. -JLG.
