68 Ga-FAPI PET/CT Provides a Clear Picture of a Klatskin Tumor That 18 F-FDG PET/CT Missed

Clin Nucl Med. 2023 Jun 1;48(6):e313-e315. doi: 10.1097/RLU.0000000000004652. Epub 2023 Apr 24.

Abstract

Klatskin tumor, also known as hilar cholangiocarcinoma, was clearly demonstrated in this case report by contrasting 68 Ga-FAPI and 18 F-FDG PET/CT in the same patient. This instance exemplifies a false-negative 18 F-FDG PET/CT for the main tumor site, despite positive 68 Ga-FAPI uptake at the same location.
