Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography(PET)/computed tomography (CT) scan with axial low‐dose CT (a), axial attenuation corrected PET image of the thoracic region (b), and a maximal intensity projection of the whole‐body PET (c): (1) symmetrically distributed mediastinal and hilar lymphadenopathy, with intense fluorodeoxyglucose uptake, without pulmonary aberrations (a–c); (2) focal periarticular accumulation in shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands, suspect for synovitis (c); (3) cutaneous accumulation in the right lower arm, defined as cutaneous contamination since there were clinically no skin lesions (c).
