Nurs Educ Perspect. 2024 Mar-Apr;45(2):118-119. doi: 10.1097/01.NEP.0000000000001212. Epub 2023 Dec 14.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic's impact on nursing education and nursing students needs to be explored. The purpose of the study was to determine if there was a difference in comprehensive predictor scores for first-generation college nursing students compared to non-first-generation students before and during the pandemic. This quantitative comparative study showed no statistically significant difference in scores for these two groups. However, there was a statistically significant difference in scores for first-generation nursing students compared to non-first-generation students regardless of time frame.
