Nevertheless, acquiring the perioperative management and surgical skills essential for liver transplant is a time-consuming process for new surgeons. In addition, COVID-19 has also affected the field. Based on our actual situation in China, we have provided an overview of donor evaluation,recipient selection,transplant procedures, postoperative complications and management, longterm management, and pandemic strategies to guide new clinical surgeons in the field.
