Abstract

While optogenetic tools have recently opened new avenues for controlling and understanding cellular behavior, Suh et al.¹ present an effective strategy to regulate tissue densification and outgrowth through optogenetic control of EGFR. Their work ultimately uncovers fundamental principles that pave the way for improved tissue engineering approaches.
