Abstract

Human intestinal organoids (HIOs) generated from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are utilized for disease modeling but they lack a full complement of niche components. Childs et al.¹ demonstrate that EPIREGULIN-driven HIOs mature into functional, neuromuscular, and vascularized niches, establishing a powerful platform for human gut physiology and disease research.
