Summary: The updated guidelines emphasize individualized care through the DATA framework (Diagnosis, risk/benefit Assessment, Treatment decisions, and response Assessment) with the goal of enhancing shared decision-making and personalized care. Highlights include expanded role of molecular diagnostics, refined risk stratification, greater emphasis on active surveillance and lobectomy, inclusion of ablative procedures, and selective use of external beam radiation therapy and chemoradiotherapy. De-escalation of surveillance for low-risk patients and introduction of the concept of complete remission are also new.
