Clin Rheumatol. 2026 Mar;45(3):2067-2069. doi: 10.1007/s10067-025-07908-9. Epub 2026 Jan 23.

Abstract

Large granular lymphocytic leukemia (LGLL) is often associated with autoimmune diseases, with rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed in approximately one-third of the patients. Nevertheless, other rheumatologic conditions should also be considered. We describe a male patient in his 50 s with a long-standing clinical history suggestive of palindromic rheumatism, who was diagnosed with LGLL leukemia during an evaluation for fever and neutropenia.

Keywords: Methotrexate; Palindromic rheumatism; Pseudo-Felty’s syndrome; Rheumatoid arthritis.
