Abstract

This study assessed the performance of syphilis serology alone versus the gold standard of a reactive RPR plus clinical history for identifying active syphilis infections in a universal emergency department screening setting, an approach that could be helpful for researchers analyzing large datasets or clinicians working in limited resource settings.
