The adverse effects of commonly used systemic drugs on the human eye. II

Am J Optom Arch Am Acad Optom. 1972 Apr;49(4):335-62. doi: 10.1097/00006324-197204000-00007.

Abstract

PIP: This communication is an expansion of an earlier paper on the adverse effects of commonly used systemic drugs on the human eye and represents an effort to include all of the reported adverse ocular effects for drugs using references dating through June 1970. The data are presented in a series of 4 tables to minimize delay in pairing both drug and adverse effect by any of several methods: 1) brand and generic names, 2) generic name/brand name ocular table of side effects, 3) pharmacological table of ocular side effects, and 4) ocular side effects and drugs eliciting same. These classifications simplify the finding of a reported adverse effect and the drug or drugs that can cause such an effect.
