Visual modulation of otolith-dependent units in cat vestibular nuclei

Exp Brain Res. 1979 Sep;37(1):173-6. doi: 10.1007/BF01474262.

Abstract

Vestibular nucleus units responding to translational self-motion are shown to respond also to translational movement of a large visual field. These visual-vestibular interactions in otolith-dependent units are similar to those found in canal-related units and could provide the basis for linearvection.
