Antiasthmatic drug therapy and calcium ions: review of pathogenesis and role of calcium

J Pharm Sci. 1980 Feb;69(2):243-51. doi: 10.1002/jps.2600690244.

Abstract

This paper presents the calcium-dependent pathophysiological features of allergic and nonallergic asthma. Various theories concerning the role of free calcium ions in the pathogenesis of asthma are discussed.
