Prolonged remission of metastatic malignant fibrous histiocytoma induced by combination chemotherapy

J Surg Oncol. 1984 Jun;26(2):113-4. doi: 10.1002/jso.2930260208.

Abstract

A patient with metastatic malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) achieved a complete remission with polychemotherapy lasting 42+ months. In view of this long-term survival and two similar prior reports of long-term survival after aggressive treatment, the goal of therapy for metastatic MFH must be reconsidered.
