Irreducible acute anterior dislocation of the shoulder due to a loose fragment from an associated fracture of the greater tuberosity

Abstract

Failure of manipulative reduction of acute anterior dislocation of the shoulder can occur from the interposition of an avulsed greater tuberosity. The treatment is surgical and good functional results can be achieved even in late cases.
