Listening in family psychotherapy

Can J Psychiatry. 1984 Mar;29(2):112-4. doi: 10.1177/070674378402900205.

Abstract

The author describes with clinical examples why the neglected tool of listening is of vital importance in supervising and practising family psychotherapy. This neglect is highlighted as a possible side effect of focussing exclusively on the use of one way mirrors and video equipment in teaching family psychotherapy.
