Factors affecting acid alpha-naphthyl acetate esterase activity in peripheral blood lymphocytes

Am J Clin Pathol. 1982 May;77(5):611-4. doi: 10.1093/ajcp/77.5.611.

Abstract

Pre-staining conditions that affect alpha-naphthyl acetate esterase (ANAE) activity in peripheral blood lymphocytes have been evaluated. The effects of different fixatives, pH of fixation, pre-fixation storage time and length of fixation have been compared with regard to maximal preservation of ANAE activity in peripheral T-cells.
