Increase of alpha 1-acid glycoprotein after treatment with amitriptyline

Abstract

Sixteen primary depressive patients were treated for 3 weeks with amitriptyline 150 mg daily. In thirteen patients the plasma level of α1-acid glycoprotein (AAG) significantly increased after the treatment but the albumin levels did not change.
