Focal-spot separation in stereoscopic magnification radiography

Radiology. 1981 Jul;140(1):227-9. doi: 10.1148/radiology.140.1.7244229.

Abstract

Mathematical formulas relating focal-spot separation to various geometric factors in magnification radiography are presented. Focal-spot separation is closely related to the magnification factor, focal-spot/film distance, viewing distance, and object size. When the viewing distance is equal to the focal-spot/film distance, separation is inversely proportional to magnification.
