Abstract

During 6 hours continuous pH-measurements were undertaken to study the effect of neostigmine (0,5 mg s.c.) and atropine (0,5 mg s.c.) on gastro-oesophageal reflex after a standardised meal (n=18). Mean total reflux duration, single reflux duration and mean reflux frequency were not effected by neostigmine. Mean total reflux duration and mean reflux frequency were not effected by neostigmine. Mean total reflux duration and mean reflux frequency were reduced by atropine during the first hour p.i. (a less than 0,01).
