Atkinson tube placement

Abstract

Endoscopic intubation of a malignant esophageal stricture with an endoprosthesis allows quick and adequate palliation for a patient with a very limited life span. The technique of Atkinson tube insertion is described and illustrated. Complications are discussed briefly.
