Onychauxis. Surgical and nonsurgical treatment

Clin Podiatr Med Surg. 1995 Apr;12(2):215-20.

Abstract

Onychauxis is a common nail disorder, particularly among the geriatric and debiliated populations. The hypertrophic nail plate proves unsightly and uncomfortable. Surgical options--intended to offer permanent correction--and nonsurgical modalities--designed to provide symptomatic relief--are reviewed.
