Hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal function in Parkinsonian patients treated with melatonin

Abstract

The pineal principle, melatonin, was administered to 4 Parkinsonian patients. Hypothalam0-pituitary-adrenal function tests were performed before and after 4 weeks of treatment. At a maximum dosage of 1 g daily no impairment of H-P-A function was detected.
