Myxozyma vanderwaltii sp. nov. (Candidaceae), a new yeast species isolated from a flower of Protea repens (L.) L

Antonie Van Leeuwenhoek. 1993 Jan;63(1):17-21. doi: 10.1007/BF00871726.

Abstract

Three strains of an undescribed species of the genus Myxozyma were recovered. The new species differs from other accepted species of the genus in its assimilation pattern of carbon sources, mol% G + C and low DNA-DNA homology. A description of the new species, Myxozyma vanderwaltii, and a key to the species accepted in the genus are given.
