Naso--tracheal jet ventilation for micro-laryngeal procedures

Anaesthesia. 1977 Apr;32(4):359-62. doi: 10.1111/j.1365-2044.1977.tb11638.x.

Abstract

Adequate pulmonary ventilation during general anaesthesia in completely relaxed patients during laryngoscopy has been provided with the aid of a readily available suction catheter and a manual oxygen valve. Operating conditions for the surgeon are excellent, clear photography through the operating microscope is facilitated and the exposure is a considerable improvement on other methods of anaesthesia.
