Helical biphasic contrast-enhanced CT of the liver: technique, indications, interpretation, and pitfalls

Radiology. 1996 Oct;201(1):1-14. doi: 10.1148/radiology.201.1.8816509.

Abstract

Helical biphasic contrast-enhanced CT represents a considerable improvement in the detection of vascular liver neoplasms. When properly performed and with an awareness of the pitfalls in timing and associated pseudolesions, this technique substantially increases tumor detection and staging.
