Selective transcatheter embolization of a uterine arteriovenous malformation with preservation of the reproductive capacity

J Belge Radiol. 1996 Nov;79(5):210-1.

Abstract

Uterine arteriovenous malformations are very rare. Transcatheter embolization has become the treatment of choice. It is safe and effective. Moreover the reproductive capacity can be preserved. We report a successful pregnancy after hyperselective transcatheter embolization of an arteriovenous malformation in a 27-year-old woman and present an overview of the literature.
