[Mortality of patients with myocardial infarction at a young age]

Abstract

Among patients with myocardial infarction, patients up to 40 years of age accounted for 5.1% (5.4% men and 4.1% women). Early mortality due to myocardial infarction was in the all material 42.6% and depended mainly on deaths of men in the prehospitalization period. Prehospitalization mortality varied between men and women. It was 45.3% for men and 11.2% for women. Hospital mortality was low, accounting for 7.8% of the treated subjects.
