Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the activity of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and the concentration of lactate, pyruvate and glucose in cytosolic fraction of the rat liver in chlorfenvinphos intoxication. We found the increased activity of lactate dehydrogenase, decreased concentration of pyruvate with concurrent increase in the concentration of lactate and glucose in animal groups examined. The changes in the parameters investigated indicated the enhanced glycolytic process in the liver.
