Reflex sympathetic dystrophy. Traumatic and postoperative presentation and management in the lower extremity

Clin Podiatr Med Surg. 1991 Apr;8(2):287-307.

Abstract

Reflex sympathetic dystrophy is a difficult diagnostic and therapeutic problem. Although it is not widespread in the podiatric community, when encountered, it is difficult to manage. It can result after even simple surgical procedures or seemingly insignificant trauma. Early diagnosis and staging is the key to treatment.
