Cloning of human repair genes by genomic DNA transfection

Ann Ist Super Sanita. 1989;25(1):131-42.

Abstract

General aspects of strategies for the isolation of mammalian DNA repair genes using DNA mediated gene transfer to repair deficient mutant cells are discussed with emphasis on the possibilities and limitations of the technique as well as potential problems and pitfalls. A summary is given of results obtained thusfar using this approach.
