Introduction The ICD-10 symptom rating (ISR) is a self-rating instrument that is based on ICD-10 syndromes. Can previous findings concerning its validity be replicated in a non-clinical sample? Material & Methods N=428 study participants - mainly students - completed the ISR and the SCL-90-R in an online survey. Results The assumed factorial structure was replicated with a good model fit. The correlations between the content-related scales of the two instruments ranged from rmin=0.60 to rmax=0.85. Study participants indicated that they did not find completing the ISR stressful. Discussion and Conclusions These results indicate good validity and applicability of the ISR.
Einleitung Das ICD-10-Symptom-Rating (ISR) ist ein Selbstbeurteilungsinstrument, das sich an der syndromalen Struktur des ICD-10 orientiert. Lassen sich bisherige Befunde zur Validität des Instruments in klinischen Stichproben in einer klinisch weitgehend unauffälligen Stichprobe replizieren? Material & Methoden N=428 vorrangig studentische Versuchspersonen füllten das ISR und die SCL-90-R online aus. Ergebnisse Die theoretisch postulierte faktorielle Struktur des ISR konnte mit einer guten Modellanpassung repliziert werden. Die Korrelationen zwischen den konstruktverwandten Skalen der beiden Instrumente reichten von rmin=0,60 bis rmax=0,85. Das Ausfüllen des ISR wurde als wenig belastend eingestuft. Diskussion und Schlussfolgerung Diese Ergebnisse sind als Hinweise auf die Validität und Zumutbarkeit des ISR zu werten.
