Duodenal ulcer with perforation to the inferior vena cava. Report of a fatal case

Abstract

A fatal case of duodenal ulcer with perforation to the inferior vena cava is described. This rare cause of gastrointestinal hemorrhage should be considered when the bleeding is severe. The risk of sepsis is high in such cases.
